An Invitation to Join the Ventana Wilderness Legacy Society

Members of the Ventana Wilderness Legacy Society have expressed their commitment to the Ventana Wilderness Alliance through a very special and important form of financial support.

These donors have named the VWA as the ultimate beneficiary of a planned gift. Such gifts might include a bequest and/or charitable income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, or gifts of life insurance.

Your membership involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.

Benefits of membership in the Ventana Wilderness Legacy Society also include annual luncheons, invitations to special events and seminars and a subscription to our newsletter.

The most important benefit, however, is the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to protect, preserve, and restore the wilderness qualities and biodiversity of the public lands within California's northern Santa Lucia Mountains and Big Sur coast.

Ventana Wilderness Alliance is proud to have established long-term endowments with our local community foundations to support our programs and ensure a lasting impact for the wilderness we protect.

Community Foundation for Monterey County

Ventana Wilderness Alliance Fund Provides general support for VWA's programs and operations
Youth in Wilderness Fund Dedicated to supporting our youth programs
Ventana Trails Forever Fund Supports trail restoration and maintenance projects

Community Foundation Santa Cruz County

Youth in Wilderness Fund Supports our youth programs in Santa Cruz County

The annual distributions from these endowments provide reliable funding that helps VWA continue its mission, year after year.
